Travis County Green Party endorses ex-Navy diver, archaeologist, and educator for AISD School Board Trustee, Place 2
AUSTIN, TX -- This weekend, the Travis County Green Party endorsed Fred McGhee in his campaign for AISD School Board Trustee, Place 2, following their candidate forum last Thursday night, May 3rd.
"We appreciate Fred McGhee's experience as an educator," said Tanya Winters, Austin Green, who moderated the forum. "I believe he will be a good addition to the Austin School Board."
Libertarian Gary Johnson also attended the candidate forum. The Sam Guzman and Gerald Guerra campaigns indicated that they would attend the forum but did not appear.
"Fred knows his business as an educator. He's smart, dynamic, and committed to genuine education for our children," said Bill Holloway, Chairperson of the Green Party in Travis County.
The election in District 2 for School Board Trustee is this coming Saturday, May 12th. On Saturday, voters must vote at their precinct location, which they can look up on the web at http://www.traviscountytax.org/showVoterNameSearch.do.
